A Crown with a Cause: Peach Queen Amelia at Heart, Love & Soul

This year’s annual recognition dinner at Heart, Love & Soul had a royal surprise!

Amelia Faddoul, the 2025 Niagara County Peach Queen, made a special appearance—crown and all—to volunteer her time and spirit, selling 50/50 raffle tickets and lighting up the room with her presence.

During the event, Amelia shared some insights into her community involvement and the motivations behind her platform. Inspired by her grandmother’s decades-long commitment to plasma donation and volunteer work, Amelia has focused her efforts on advocacy for individuals with differing abilities.

“My Nana’s dedication to helping others has been a major influence,” Amelia explained. “She donated plasma twice a week for nearly 40 years and continues to volunteer at the Niagara County SPCA.”

Amelia’s platform as Peach Queen centers on raising awareness and improving access to adaptive sports programs for people with disabilities in Niagara County. She pointed to her stepbrother and a family friend as key reasons for her commitment.

“There are limited opportunities and visibility for these programs right now,” she said. “I want to help expand access and awareness.”

When asked about volunteering with organizations like Heart, Love & Soul, Amelia encouraged others to get involved.

“Volunteering is rewarding and doesn’t require a big time commitment,” she said. “There are opportunities available even through schools, and it’s a valuable way to connect with different parts of the community.”
