Heart, Love & Soul and Community Missions are proud to announce the 1st Annual Angelo “Andy” Sarkees Earth Day Bottle & Can Drive, taking place April 19–25, 2026, in celebration of Earth Week.
Andy Sarkees—affectionately known throughout Niagara Falls as the “Can Man”—was widely recognized for his extraordinary generosity and quiet commitment to helping others. As highlighted in the Niagara Gazette, Andy spent years collecting bottles and cans, not for personal gain, but to support local individuals and organizations in need. His efforts turned everyday recyclables into meaningful acts of care, benefiting food pantries and community services across the region. His legacy is one of humility, compassion, and action—showing how small, consistent efforts can make a difference.
This Earth Week, the community is invited to honor Andy’s legacy by doing exactly what he did: turning returnables into resources for those who need them most.
How to Participate:
Residents can drop off their bottles and cans throughout the week of April 19–25 at any of the following locations:
