Low-Income Support Resources

Over 28% of people in Niagara Falls live below the poverty line – and we think that number is far too high. Our goal at Heart, Love & Soul is to lessen the impact of poverty in our community by increasing access to support services for people facing low-income situations.

Below are some of the helpful local resources used by Heart, Love & Soul to support our social care services and address poverty in Niagara Falls.

  • Feeding America
Food insecurity is defined as a lack of consistent access to enough food for every person in a household to live an active, healthy life. This can be a temporary situation for a household or can last a long time. Food insecurity is one way we can measure how many people cannot afford food. More than 38 million people, including 12 million children face food insecurity in the United States.
