This Saturday is the Day: Stamp Out Hunger 2025 is Here!
Every year, on the second Saturday in May, letter carriers across the country do more than deliver mail — they help deliver hope. The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive, organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC), is the nation’s largest single-day food drive, and it’s happening this Saturday, May 10th.
Since its start in 1993, Stamp Out Hunger has collected millions of pounds of food to help fill the shelves of local food banks and pantries. For Heart, Love & Soul, it’s an important day! We rely on the food collected through efforts like this to keep our pantry stocked and ready to serve our neighbors in need.
Participating in Stamp Out Hunger is incredibly easy — and impactful. All you have to do is:
Set your donation out by your mailbox on the morning of Saturday, May 10th
Use a sturdy bag and include non-perishable items like canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, or cereal
Your letter carrier will pick it up during their usual route
These donations will go directly to local food pantries, including ours, to help feed families facing food insecurity.
As we move into the warmer months, the need for food support remains high — especially for families with children who rely on school meals during the academic year. Your contribution this weekend can help bridge that gap. Let’s come together as a community and make this year’s drive the most successful yet. Because when we all give a little, we can do a lot.
Thank you for helping us Stamp Out Hunger!
