Volunteer
Volunteer
Support a community in need.
Volunteers are one of the greatest resources we have at Heart, Love and Soul. People who give their time, energy, and talents to inspire hope are essential to our ability to deliver quality services. Many of our programs would not be able to fully carry out their goals without the dedicated support of our volunteers.
We will try our best to match interested volunteers with an opportunity that suits their skill set and serves the organization.

Volunteer Guidelines
Individuals and groups of all ages are welcome to volunteer with our programs; however, youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
We strive to provide our volunteers with a positive work environment, necessary training, and reliable supervision. In return, we expect volunteers to honor their commitment, respect other volunteers, staff and guests, and perform their assigned responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
Heart, Love & Soul does not discriminate against any volunteer because of race, color, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, or disability.
Volunteers assist with basic meal prep such as washing and chopping produce, mixing items, etc. – whatever your comfort level in the kitchen, we can accommodate. You will also help with packaging meals and cleaning up.
Volunteers assist with distributing lunches and any giveaway items. At the end of each meal, return all items to the kitchen and wipe down serving areas and tables with a sanitizing solution.
Volunteers sign guests into our online portal, schedule appointments, and help guests select and pack their monthly groceries. When there are no guests to serve, you will sort donations and stock shelves.
Volunteers advise guests on the Shop guidelines, such as what items are available and how many they may choose. Once a guest has made their selection, enter the items into our online portal. When there are no guests to serve, you will sort donations and stock shelves.
Volunteers help guests navigate around the facility and assist them with using our services. You will also provide coffee to guests in the waiting room, and keep shared spaces clean and sanitized.
These volunteer opportunities can range from holiday food giveaways, Christmas toy giveaway, special programs or clinics, packing backpacks with school supplies, assisting with large food drives, and so much more.
If you have any talents that you think may be useful and are interested in working on special projects, please let us know.
Volunteering here keeps me focused on others, and on the needs of others. The guests here have taught me a lot because of who they are and what they share with me.
